10:30 a.m.
It has been reported that over the weekend, some departmental logins (examples mtu4u@mtu.edu, stuosrr@mtu.edu, finaid@mtu.edu) were not accepting email from external addresses such as yahoo.com, gmail.com, etc. Incoming mail from @mtu.edu accounts was still being delivered just fine.
11:30 a.m.
We have fixed this for all known cases. If there are other cases, please write to email@mtu.edu or call me.

While this service has been restored, approximately 8:30 AM, we are still investigating the cause of this crash. We have opened a case with Blackboard and are working with them to figure out what happened as well as implement a solution to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thank you for your time and patience with this.
